About the Role

The Snowmaker is responsible for operating and maintaining snowmaking equipment to provide high-quality snow surfaces. This includes set-up, monitoring, moving equipment, and completing maintenance tasks to ensure safe and efficient snow production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate snowmaking equipment including set-up, monitoring, and adjustments for quality and coverage

  • Perform daily operational tasks and preventative maintenance on snowmaking systems

  • Support trail and slope maintenance during snowmaking and off-peak periods

  • Ensure safe working practices in all weather conditions

  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and other departments

  • Assist with general maintenance and capital projects when required

About the Role

The Groomer is responsible for maintaining ski trails, chairlift ramps, and freestyle terrain to ensure safe and enjoyable conditions for members and guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate trail grooming equipment to maintain high-quality skiing surfaces

  • Perform routine machine maintenance and report issues promptly

  • Collaborate with Ski Patrol, Snowmaking, and other departments

Freestyle Terrain Team Leader

Job Summary

The Freestyle Terrain Team Leader is responsible for the daily management, documentation, maintenance, construction, and monitoring of all freestyle terrain at The Georgian Peaks Club. This includes ensuring the safe and effective operation of terrain parks, variable terrain features, and freestyle zones. The role includes oversight of the Park Pass Safety Program and adherence to all safety and operational standards.

The Team Leader will follow direction from the Manager of Outside Operations, working closely with other key departments to deliver a safe, innovative, and enjoyable freestyle terrain experience.


Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Construct, maintain, and finish terrain features to established specifications and within guidelines set by Club Management, Operations, and the Snowboard & Freestyle Director.

  2. Lead and enforce the Park Pass Safety Awareness Program for all participants, including staff.

  3. Monitor and enforce helmet use across all freestyle areas.

  4. Conduct continuous maintenance on snow features, rails, and boxes in all freestyle zones.

  5. Collaborate with the Area Manager, Ski Patrol Director, and Freestyle Director to ensure operational excellence.

  6. Inspect, maintain, and repair all equipment and features as needed.

  7. Assist in planning and executing freestyle events and competitions.

  8. Champion safety as the highest priority, ensuring appropriate conduct in all areas and educating members, guests, and employees.

  9. Support guest relations and assist Ski Patrol during accident situations.

  10. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.

  11. Ensure a professional appearance at all times.

  12. Perform daily inspections and upkeep of fences, signage, markers, jumps, rails, and all freestyle features.

  13. Perform additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Proven ability to construct and maintain a variety of snow-based terrain features.

  • Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions (rain, snow, wind, cold).

  • Strong collaboration skills with Freestyle Director and Area Manager.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.

  • Leadership and people management experience is an asset.

Lift Attendant

Department: Operations

Overview

Lift Attendants play a key role in delivering a safe, efficient, and welcoming lift experience for Members and guests. Working outdoors in all weather conditions, the Lift Attendant operates assigned lifts in accordance with standard operating procedures, safety protocols, and Georgian Peaks Club policies, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable mountain experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate assigned ski lifts safely and efficiently in compliance with procedures and regulations
  • Monitor and maintain loading, unloading, and line-up areas to ensure safe and consistent operation
  • Complete daily inspections, logs, and safety checks thoroughly and accurately
  • Maintain awareness of slope conditions and report changes or hazards promptly
  • Communicate any safety concerns, incidents, or operational issues to Area Management and Ski Patrol
  • Keep lift terminals, ramps, and surrounding areas clear and well-maintained
  • Assist with installation of signage, lift lines, and snow management as required

Ticket Seller

Job Summary

The Ticket Seller is responsible for ensuring that daily guest lift tickets are processed efficiently and accurately while providing exceptional customer service to Members and their Guests. This role plays a key part in maintaining positive relationships and a welcoming experience for all guests. When time permits, the Ticket Seller supports the Member & Guest Services and Accounting Offices with administrative tasks.

This position works closely with the Member & Guest Services team, the Accounting Department, the General Manager, and the Member Experience Manager.


Duties & Responsibilities

1. Ticket Sales

  • Prepare daily lift ticket reconciliation forms and verify the daily float.

  • Set up and prepare forms for the second ticket window on high-traffic guest days.

  • Review and update the daily guest sign-in list as new guests are added.

  • Accurately process guest lift ticket sales for adults and children.

  • Record all complimentary and Bay Street tickets on the appropriate logs.

  • Complete guest tracking in the Jonas system and notify Management when guests reach the maximum of four visits.

  • Reconcile daily lift ticket sales and receivables at the end of each day.

  • Maintain accurate sales records and ensure guest tracking remains current to uphold visit limits.

2. Additional Responsibilities

  • Support the Member & Guest Services or Accounting Offices during slower periods with administrative tasks such as photocopying, filing, or preparing lift tickets for midweek corporate ski days.

  • Maintain organized files and a clean, tidy workspace.

  • Assist with other duties as assigned to support smooth departmental operations.
