We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, detail-oriented person to join our team in the Alpine Program Administration Office at Georgian Peaks Ski Club. This is a part-time seasonal contract position, starting immediately through April 2022, working 2-3 days per week. Hours are typically 9am-4pm, but could vary depending on operational needs for certain events.
 
Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide friendly, high quality customer service to Members, Guests, Club Staff and Volunteers

Job Title:         Freestyle Terrain Attendant

Job Description:
The Terrain Park Team Attendant is responsible to assist and follow the direction of the Freestyle Terrain Team Leader with the day-to-day management, maintenance, construction, monitoring and park pass safety program of all resort freestyle terrain. The Terrain Park Team Attendant will follow all direction and duties assigned by the Area Manager in respect to all aspects of the Freestyle Terrain requirements, including times scheduled for breaks and lunch times. Freestyle terrain includes, snow cross track, air bag & terrain park(s).

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. To build, finish and maintain various terrain features to specific specifications within the guidelines of the Georgian Peaks Club Management, operations team and Snowboard & Freestyle Director
  2. Assist with the monitoring of Terrain Park Pass Safety Awareness program for both staff and guests.
  3. Performs continuous maintenance on snow features and rails/boxes for each of the resort’s freestyle terrain areas.
  4. Works closely with the Director of Outside Operations, Ski Patrol Director & Freestyle Team Leader.
  5. Monitoring and fixing any and all equipment & features
  6. Assist in organizing and executing events and competitions taking place in terrain park
  7. Making safety the number one priority — making sure that everyone is conducting themselves appropriately in the workplace and educating the members, guests and employees in the park
  8. Guest relations and assisting ski patrol in accident situations
  9. Maintaining a clean and organized site at all times
  10. Daily upkeep of all fences, signage, hit markers, jumps, rails and everything that falls into the freestyle terrain park boundaries.

Job Title:         Ticket Seller
Department:    Member & Guest Services

Job Description:
Ensure that daily guest lift tickets are processed quickly and accurately.  Assist the Member & Guest Services Office with duties when time permits. It is imperative that a good relationship exists with all Members and their Guests.  This person works closely with the Member & Guest Services Office, Accounting Department, General Manager, and Mid-Week Corporate Event Coordinator.
 
Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Ticket Sales                                                      
    1. Prepare daily lift ticket reconciliation forms and ensure that the daily float is correct
    2. Prepare forms for the second ticket window in the event of a busy guest day
    3. Review the daily guest sign in list and add new guests as they are signed in
    4. Accurately sell guest lift tickets to adults and children
    5. Record all complimentary tickets and Bay Street tickets on the appropriate log sheets
    6. Complete guest tracking in the Jonas system and advise Management when a guest has reached their maximum visits of four
    7. At the end of the day reconcile the daily lift ticket sales receivable
    8. Maintain accurate records for daily ticket sales and keep guest tracking up to date to ensure that no one exceeds their maximum guest visits of four
  2. Other Duties as Required                                  
    1. If there are periods when there are no guests at the window, assist the Member & Guest Services Office or Accounting Office by completing tasks as required
    2. This is usually photocopying, filing or preparing lift tickets for the mid-week corporate ski days
    3. Assist with duties as required and ensure that filing is current and the workplace is kept clean and tidy

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment keeping safety of the crew, and resort guests foremost.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Works under the direction of the Area Mechanic. Works closely with all Departments to ensure the best mountain experience for members, guests and employees.

· Ensure safety of guests and staff through proper training and adherence to company policies and procedures

· Maintain an open and trustworthy relationship with respect to communication amongst staff and Management.

· Complies with applicable policies and procedures of The Georgian Peaks Club, The Z-98 Code, The TSSA, OHSA and departmental standards.

· To ensure that all lifts, vehicles and equipment are mechanically secure through preventative maintenance.

· Maintain records of all work scheduled and completed on mobile equipment and report on mobile equipment maintenance related activities.

· Performs routine maintenance and inspections on grooming equipment & snowmobiles up to The Georgian Peaks Club, manufacturers recommended practices and insurance carrier standards.

A thorough working knowledge of trail maintenance, safety and ski hill operations is required. Assist in the upkeep and maintenance of the outdoor areas which the outside operations department is responsible. Operate the tools and equipment of the department in a safe, efficient and effective manner in order to complete all assignment and duties. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment keeping the safety of co-workers, members and guests foremost.

  • Works under the direction of the Area Manager, maintains frequent communication & notifies of any problems or unusual conditions. Works very closely and maintains frequent communication with Ski Patrol.

  • Removing plant materials that encroach on the trails, removing fallen debris and other materials that may cover trails, remove fallen trees, assist with new trail construction as directed, upgrading of deteriorated trails, repair of winter damage caused by storms/flooding etc., maintain and repair trail drainage systems, removal and/or repair of hazards found on trails, erecting and maintaining snow fence, tower & hydrant padding and barrier devices, pick up and manage garbage on the property through regular inspections.

·          Monitors & maintains common areas, performs interior and exterior maintenance of Club and property

  • Keep work area, property & parking areas safe and clean and report any damage, malfunction, misuse or abuse of any equipment or property.
