COVID-19 Update: Re-opening Reminders + Alpine Programs

Hello Peaks Family,

We are all excited to resume the ski season this coming Thursday, February 18th. Mother Nature has blessed us with more than two feet of fresh snow and our snowmaking and grooming teams have been hard at work. Conditions are going to be epic when we open on Thursday morning!

Yesterday the Grey Bruce region reopened as a “Yellow/Protect” zone as per the colour-coded provincial response measures. This is the same colour we operated under in December. As different regions of the province are classified as different colour zones, we ask that Members click HERE to review the safety measures and regulations for each zone.

The Grey Bruce Health Unit and Town of Blue Mountains bylaw officers have advised us that they will be visiting our Club over the coming weeks to conduct compliance inspections. These visits will be unannounced and any infractions of the guidelines could result in the closing down of our skiing privileges. It is up to all of us to follow the rules set out by the Health Unit, The Town and the Club. Wear your mask inside, wear your face covering outside (in lift lines and on the lift), physical distance, remain seated in lodges and only sit with your immediate family .  Click HERE to view the COVID-19 Member Handbook for more detailed information.

Snowmaking – Being conscious of the budget the Board of Directors had voted to stop snowmaking  two weeks ago – since then they have decided to move forward with snowmaking on Wilsons Wiggle and Peggys run to provide more terrain to ski for the remainder of the season.  Snowmaking will begin this week and carry on into the weekend if required.

Open runs – we are excited by the terrain we have ready!  Click HERE to see what runs will be open.

Lift lines - Chairlifts are to be loaded to capacity only if you are riding with members of your household. If you do not meet these criteria, you must provide one (1) empty seat between you and another rider not from your household. Members are to ride lifts with their entire family, whenever possible to speed up lift lines and minimize gathering.

Skinning – the Skinning trail will be open every operating day until the end of the season.

Click HERE to view our menus and online ordering.

Marche – Marche food and Beverage open from 8:30am to 5:00pm each day the hill is open

Food ordering - Avoid the food line and preorder your food on Saturday and Sundays between 11 am and 2 pm.  Menu items will be limited for walk up service. Table reservations are mandatory on Saturdays and Sundays between 11 am and 2 pm

Bay Street Bar - Beverage orders to be placed through Clubhouse online app or website – your beverage will be brought to your table. Please wear your mask when the server is approaching your table. No Mask – No Beer.

Members bringing their own food – The Old Founders, West Lodge and the New Locker Room CafĂ© will be available for Members who bring their own food.

Take Home Menu - take home is available for pick up between 3 pm and 5 pm daily.  Pre-order your favorite Peaks meal or appetizer to be enjoyed at home.

Lodge requirements – a face mask is required inside all buildings and must be worn at all times, unless actively eating or drinking.  Members must remain seated at a table unless entering or exiting a building, using the washroom or picking up food.

Locker will be available this week. Masks must be worn in locker rooms and physical distancing must be maintained. To meet capacity limits and allow for physical distancing, entry is limited to one person per family in the locker room to obtain your belongings within 15 minutes or less. We ask that Members only store hard-goods (e.g., skis, poles, snowboards) as locker areas will be sprayed daily and nightly for sanitizing.

Each locker area has a designated capacity to adhere to. Locker room capacity is based on the number on the blue floor indicators in your locker area. If your area is full, please wait in an area that is not full or wait outside.

As we resume the ski season guests will be limited to immediate family of Members and we have capped Guests at 100 people per operating day.  As we begin to operate, we will monitor these guidelines and adjust as required.
