COVID-19 Update: March 10, 2021

Dear Peaks Family,

We are grateful to our entire Membership for their commitment to following the rules around mask-wearing and physical distancing. There was noticeable compliance in the lineups and inside the lodge this past weekend that allowed everyone to enjoy the sunshine and great skiing in an atmosphere of safety.

The deck seems to be our major issue.  Members continue to stand around in groups socializing with people who are not in their immediate family. We increased the number of deck chairs to provide ample seating, but we are still witnessing a disregard for the rules set out by our local health authority - especially at the end of the day.

The Management and Board are laser-focused on the health and safety of our Membership and our ability to maintain hill operations. If a local by-law officer had visited our Club this past Sunday afternoon and witnessed the gathering on the deck, our ability to continue operating would have been at risk.

For this reason, bar service will now close at the same time as the chairlifts (4:30 p.m. on Saturday and 3:30 p.m. on Sunday) starting this weekend. In addition, deck seating will be spaced further apart and utilize the snow area in front of the clubhouse to maximize social distancing.

Deck season at the Peaks is a right of passage in March. But this year we need to put the health and safety of our friends, family, and the Peaks Staff above all else. Remember to grab a seat on the deck, sit with members of your immediate family and do not stand around and chat.

Stay safe,
