COVID-19 Update January 8th 2020

1/8/2021

Dear Members,

Today we were notified that a second member of our Staff tested positive for COVID-19. As is protocol, the individual will remain at home in isolation for 14 days, and will be required to present a negative COVID-19 test before being cleared by the Grey Bruce Health Unit to return to work.

As we all know, this new COVID-19 environment is fluid, with things developing and changing at a rapid pace. We are in constant contact with the Grey Bruce Health Unit and are following all the rigorous protocols in place to support the wellbeing of the individuals, our Membership and Staff and broader community. We will continue to update the Membership as information becomes available.

FOOD & BEVERAGE:
As a precaution we have suspended our Food and Beverage operations for the weekend including curbside pickup and our Food Truck. We plan to reopen all food and beverage services next week.

SKINNING:
Upon further conversations with the GBHU, they have clarified that any skiing, both uphill and downhill is prohibited during the province wide shutdown. This includes skinning.  We will no longer be offering skinning as planned. We ask that all Members follow the rules and leave their skis at home when hiking the hill.

As always, we encourage you to continue to practice regular handwashing, wear a mask and seek medical advice should you exhibit any COVID-19 symptoms. Click HERE to be directed to the Ontario Government COVID-19 self assessment website.

Thank you again for your continued support during this unprecedented time.  Should you have any questions please email marg@georgianpeaks.com and a member of our COVID-19 Response Committee will get back to you right away.

Stay well,

Chris Beckett
