COVID-19 Update January 7th 2020

Dear Members,

I am writing to inform you that on Wednesday, January 6th we were notified that a member of our Staff tested positive for COVID-19. The individual has not been on site since December 30, 2020. In keeping with our health and safety protocols, the individual will remain at home in isolation for 14 days, and will be required to present a negative COVID-19 test before being cleared by the Grey Bruce Health Unit to return to work.

GBHU has completed their contact tracing process and determined that there are no high risk contacts from this case. During this process they contacted anyone who had been in contact with this individual.

As always, we encourage you to continue to practice regular handwashing, wear a mask and seek medical advice should you exhibit any COVID-19 symptoms. Click HERE to be directed to the Ontario Government COVID-19 self assessment website.

Please be assured that the Club, in partnership with the GBHU, have rigorous protocols in place to support the wellbeing of the individual, our Membership and Staff and broader community. We are following The Georgian Peaks Club processes and policies that were planned in advance with guidance from the GBHU to keep our community safe.

I wish to thank our Membership for their continued support during this unprecedented time.  Should you have any questions please email and a member of our COVID-19 Response Committee will get back to you right away. We ask that you not telephone the Club directly with your questions as we wish to capture all inquiries via email in order to post a FAQ on our website to keep all Members informed.

Thank you and stay well,

Chris Beckett
