COVID-19 Update: January 16th 2020

1/16/2021

Hello Peaks Family,

I hope that everyone is staying safe during these ever changing, unprecedented times. I want to update you on how our current activities will be affected by the latest Ontario Government restrictions. Based on conversations yesterday with the Grey Bruce Health Unit and the Town of Blue Mountains, gathering limits now apply to our current activities.

The Club will be making the following additional required adjustments to our operation:

TOBOGGANING:
 - Tobogganing will be closed for the season.
 - No tobogganing is permitted on any ski run effective immediately.

ICE SKATING:
 - The skating rink will remain open.
 - We will now be booking 40 minute skating time slots with 20 minute breaks between each pre-registered time. This will allow for better physical distancing. These changes will begin with bookings starting on January 18th.
 - We have reduced the number of skaters to 7 per time slot to increase physical distancing.
 - Spectators cannot gather in groups greater than 5 anywhere on the property, including around the skating rink.
 - Masks and helmets are required at all times at the skating rink, on and off of the ice.
 - Club Staff are required, by Public Health, to ensure Members are maintaining 6ft physical distance. We appreciate your cooperation and consideration if you are asked to abide by these regulations.

HIKING:
 - The hiking trails remain open; please practice physical distancing.
 - No gathering in groups greater than 5 permitted anywhere on the property.

FOOD & BEVERAGE:
 - We are excited to continue with our popular take-home food and beverage service with curbside pick-up and our NEW delivery option!
 - The food truck will be closed until further notice.

SNOWMAKING:
We continue to be ready to make snow when weather conditions allow. We will be following a prioritized list of runs when snowmaking temperatures are ideal.

Georgian Peaks remains committed to maintaining the health and safety of our entire community. We remain adaptive to the ongoing situation and will continue to update Members as more information becomes available.

Stay safe.
